This video talks to students who have been invited to participate in the only Digital Humanities conference for and by undergraduate researchers. Short segments follow students who discuss the meaning of digital humanities, why there are passionate about the field, and different projects they are involved in. For example, a student expresses the difference in publishing for an audience who will be online and the responsibility of the researcher to approach the project in the best way to present it to a larger audience. Collaboration among researchers in the field is noted to be one of the most important aspects in Digital Humanities.

A professor used her Women's Studies class as a way to test out the use of digital humanities in the undergraduate classroom. The assignment was to create an online archive of every issue of the feminist magazine "Conditions" as well as a presentation over the issue they chose. In doing so, they were required to scan in every page of the magazine and edit them on computer to fit together uniformly. At the end of the assignment period, she submitted the archive into the "Lesbian Poetry Archive" for public viewing and use. Through working on this archive, she became convinced that the PDF format will continue to be the main format for converting physical documents into the digital medium. This is due to the format being almost universal in digital humanities and the likelihood of it continuing to be a relevant file format for many years to come.

According to the article, DH Answers represents a chance for digital humanists to communicate with fellow digital humanists through a free and community driven Q&A board. Anyone may post and answer freely, and community members are encouraged to tag their posts so as to facilitate the creation of new categories. Questions range from improving the site itself to introducing undergraduate students to the digital humanities. Forums users may also make requests for information, such as "a list of all graduate programs that study DH."

The study examines the relationship between use of facebook, a popular online social network site, and the formation and maintenace of social capital. A dimensipon of socail capitalis explored that accesses one's ability to stay connected with memebers of a previously inhabited community. A survey of undergraduate students suggest a strong association between use of facebook and the three types of social capital, with the strongest being to bridging social capital.

Julia Schrank is an undergraduate student at The Pennsylvania State University and plans to pursue her French Language and Culture studies by incorporating principles of Digital Humanities. In this blog article she describes her attempt in explaining what her fellowship in HASTAC exactly is to her mother. Schrank knows it is never an easy task describing digital humanities to her friends and family outside of the "tech world" and asks readers for possible ways to explain Digital Humanities to the average person. Her followers reply sympathetically and discuss the possible ways for the DH community as a whole.
